Responsibilities of the Software Developer Internship Position

The following are the responsibilities of the Software Developer Intern at HP:

  • Design, develop, and test software applications and solutions.
  • Assist in front-end, back-end, systems, data, and cloud development.
  • Write, debug, and maintain code using Java, Python, C++, Go, and other relevant languages.
  • Work with modern frameworks and tools such as React JS, Node JS, AWS, and Azure DevOps.
  • Support integration and deployment processes for software projects.
  • Perform unit testing and follow test-driven development (TDD) practices.

  • Participate in code reviews and recommend improvements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot using Splunk, Prometheus, CloudWatch, Kibana, and Grafana.
  • Assist with API development using RESTful and GraphQL standards.

  • Support mobile application development for iOS and Android using Swift, Kotlin, and Java.
  • Document development processes and maintain technical reports.

Requirements for the Software Developer Internship Position

Qualifications

  • 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree completed, or 1st year of a Master’s program completed.
  • Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited university.
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2026.
  • Must not require sponsorship for future employment.
  • Preferred majors include Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

Experience

  • Academic or project experience in software development or related technical roles.

Shifts for the Software Developer Internship Position
