Internship Description

The Project Engineer Summer Intern at Joseph J. Albanese, Inc. will gain hands-on experience in project management and field operations within the construction industry. This role supports project coordination, document management, and team collaboration to ensure timely and quality construction delivery. 

As a Project Engineer Summer Intern, you’ll assist with reviewing submittals, updating schedules, processing payments, and maintaining contract documentation. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where safety, quality, and people are core values. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to bridge classroom knowledge with real-world construction experience

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer Summer Intern

The following are the responsibilities of the Project Engineer Summer Intern at Joseph J. Albanese, Inc.:

  • Monitor and oversee production activities with the Foreman and Superintendent
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of field timecards
  • Review project submittals and maintain contract files
  • Assist in preparing contract documents and tracking material deliveries
  • Update project schedules and participate in internship meetings
  • Draft purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders
  • Submit subcontractor invoices and request payments
  • Coordinate daily project activities and support field teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support project success
