Job Description
The Performance Improvement Specialist oversees and enhances organizational performance by ensuring compliance with policies, accreditation standards, and contractual requirements. This role involves conducting internal audits, analyzing departmental reports to identify trends, and implementing corrective action plans. The performance improvement specialist will work closely with leadership, participate in quality assurance meetings, and collaborate with external service providers to maintain and improve service delivery. Additionally, they will prepare detailed reports and attend industry-related workshops and conferences to stay updated on best practices.
Responsibilities of a Performance Improvement Specialist
- Attend QA and program improvement meetings with agency staff and stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships with public and private service providers for seamless collaboration.
- Ensure case files comply with accreditation and contract requirements.
- Perform internal audits, reviews, and specialized investigations as necessary.
- Examine departmental reports to identify trends and resolve performance challenges.
- Work with teams to develop and oversee Corrective Action Plans (CAPs).
- Create well-structured, clear reports on time.
- Collaborate with agency leadership on audit-related activities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
- Prior experience in performance improvement, compliance, auditing, or quality assurance is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to assess reports and identify performance trends.
- Ability to conduct internal audits and investigations effectively.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills for working with stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Proficiency in preparing well-structured reports and corrective action plans.
