Job Description
Penske Media Corporation (PMC) is hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage both domestic and international payroll operations for approximately 200 employees across 5 countries. This role involves collaborating with internal teams for payroll, audits, and reporting, maintaining compliance with local labor regulations, and assisting employees with payroll and benefit-related queries. The specialist will help administer employee packages, ensure accurate payroll delivery, and support tax declarations and audits while driving process improvements for PMC’s international operations.
Responsibilities of the International Payroll Specialist
- Payroll Processing: Manage and oversee the monthly payroll run for 200 employees across 5 countries, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for both domestic and international operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the international and US payroll teams, HR, and finance teams to support payroll audits, tax declarations, and monthly reporting.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and country-specific labor codes and practices.
- Employee Benefits Administration: Oversee international employee benefit packages, including onboarding, offboarding, vouchers, ad-hoc allowances, and resolving payroll-related employee queries.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll operations and drive process improvements in international payroll management.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, assist HR with employment verification files, and manage country-specific benefits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in payroll functions.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and international/state taxation rules.
Experience:
- Experience collaborating with global teams across different countries and time zones is preferred.
- Knowledge of journal entries and assisting finance teams is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
Preferred:
Papaya Global experience is a plus.
