Shakti Flow Entertainment is a rapidly growing DJ and entertainment company seeking a financial data analyst intern to assist in managing and analyzing financial data related to various events.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the entertainment industry while developing practical skills in financial tracking, analysis, and Google Sheets management. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that event-related expenses are accurately recorded and organized, providing valuable insights into the financial performance of our events.
As a financial data analyst intern, you will help create and maintain Google Sheets to track expenses, offering a detailed breakdown of costs. This is a part-time, remote position with flexible hours, making it a great opportunity for students or individuals looking to gain experience in financial data management.
Responsibilities of Financial Data Analyst Intern
Build and Maintain Financial Data Sheets:
Create and update Google Sheets to track a wide range of event-related expenses, including security costs, venue rental fees, ticket sales, equipment rentals, staff wages, travel expenses, marketing costs, food and beverage expenses, lighting and sound setup, insurance fees, permit costs, decorations, artist fees, and cleaning services.
Organize Financial Information:
Structure and manage financial data to allow for easy tracking of expenses and accurate reporting, including breakdowns of costs per person or per hour when necessary.
Data Accuracy and Updates:
Ensure all data is accurately entered and regularly updated to provide timely insights for decision-making.
Expense Calculations:
Calculate costs related to event management and operations, analyze overall spending, and provide reports when required.
Requirements for the Financial Data Analyst Intern
Qualifications:
- Must have a good understanding of financial concepts and analysis.
- Familiarity with accounting or business-related courses is a plus.
Experience:
Previous experience working with Google Sheets is preferred but not required.
Skills:
- Proficient with Google Sheets, including formulas, data organization, and calculations.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple expense categories accurately.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
