Job Description
The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Partnerships at Dick Clark Productions is responsible for leading content partnership sales, business development, and account management, with a focus on unscripted television, the music industry, and live event entertainment. This role involves crafting revenue strategies, solving complex business problems, and working closely with the executive team to execute the corporate strategic plan.
The EVP will manage a team of bicoastal sellers and oversee revenue growth across multiple Dick Clark Productions properties, including The Golden Globes, Academy of Country Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, Streamy Awards, American Music Awards, and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. They will drive long-term sales growth, manage overall revenue and profit goals, and expand business with both existing and new brand partners.
Responsibilities of EVP
- Develop and implement strategies to grow Dick Clark Productions’ (DCP) partnership business across key properties, including The Golden Globes, Academy of Country Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
- Lead and manage a team of bicoastal sales professionals, driving revenue growth through existing and new brand partnerships.
- Shape and execute the company’s revenue strategy in collaboration with the executive team, identifying new business opportunities and driving sales across multiple platforms.
- Lead major contract negotiations, structuring complex deals and partnerships with clients, media agencies, and distribution partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners, agencies, and decision-makers, expanding the partnership business into new verticals and categories.
- Oversee the achievement of quarterly revenue goals, ensuring optimal resource allocation to drive growth and meet profit targets.
- Drive long-term sales growth by identifying new sales initiatives and expanding DCP’s client base.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to ensure alignment with go-to-market strategies.
- Ensure the execution of client and partnership deals while effectively leveraging DCP’s intellectual property portfolio for multi-million dollar cross-platform initiatives.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
- 20+ years of experience leading and managing sales teams, with a strong background in business development, content partnerships, and account management.
- Proven experience in negotiating multi-platform, multi-year deals, with a deep understanding of unscripted television, music, and live event entertainment industries.
- Extensive network of contacts and established relationships with brand partners and agencies across both the Eastern and Western regions.
Skills:
- Strong strategic and creative thinking, with the ability to craft innovative business solutions.
- Excellent negotiation skills, particularly in managing complex deal structures and contract negotiations.
- Superior relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships.

- Strong presentation and writing skills, including expertise in creating pitch decks, term sheets, and executive summaries.
