Job Description

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Continuous Improvement Logistics Lead responsible for driving Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) initiatives. The role involves utilizing Lean Six Sigma principles and project management methodologies to improve operational efficiencies across cross-functional teams. The successful candidate will lead initiatives related to logistics efficiency and cost management while collaborating closely with leadership and team members.

The position emphasizes the enhancement of analytical capabilities and involves ensuring alignment with company-wide strategies and objectives, driving innovation, and improving decision-making across logistics operations.

Responsibilities of Continuous Improvement Logistics Lead

  • Project Initiation and Planning:
    Partner with key stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and expectations. Develop project charters, scope documents, and ensure projects are adequately resourced and funded.
  • Manage and Communicate Project Timelines:
    Oversee overall project timelines, critical path activities, and manage risks. Alert leadership of critical path items and communicate any delays or risks.
  • Team Communication and Decision-Making:
    Coordinate team meetings, facilitate decision-making, and ensure smooth information flow. Leverage collaboration tools to optimize team communication and capture project learnings.
  • Project Interface to Senior Management:
    Engage with leadership to communicate risks, decisions, and project updates. Conduct periodic reviews and align projects with global requirements where necessary.
  • Enhance Project Management Capabilities:
    Collaborate with functional teams to improve processes, develop training tools, and coach team members in project management methodologies.
  • Completion and Knowledge Sharing:
    Ensure that key project learnings, KPIs, and outcomes are documented and shared. Conduct continuous improvement reviews and manage the transition of projects to operational teams.
  • Develop and Utilize Analytics:
    Apply advanced analytics to support logistics efficiency initiatives, develop predictive models, and enhance existing analytics tools for better decision-making.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Customer Service, Logistics, or Supply Chain.

Skills:

  • Project Management: Proven expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage project timelines, risks, and critical paths.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in data mining and interpretation. Ability to develop predictive models, dashboards, and tools to enhance logistics efficiency. Experience using data analytics for decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Communication: Strong verbal, written, and listening skills. Capable of presenting complex data and project results to senior management and stakeholders. Skilled at facilitating team collaboration and decision-making.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid experience in logistics systems like SAP, DOMO, Snowflake, and other Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with warehousing and transportation processes, and an understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles for process improvement.
  • Leadership: Ability to coach and mentor team members in project management and analytical skills. Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams towards achieving common goals.

  • Salary Range: $102,400 – $144,000 USD, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
