Job Description
Centene is offering a 12-week internship for undergraduate students passionate about healthcare and media. The Communications & Videography Intern will support key health plan initiatives by creating and editing impactful video content. This role includes organizing important communications, reviewing documents, and participating in ad-hoc tasks.
Interns will work remotely and collaborate with various departments to gain exposure to the managed care industry. The program is designed to help interns apply academic knowledge while developing new skills through real-world projects. Training sessions and development presentations will also be provided to strengthen professional growth.

Responsibilities of the Communications & Videography Intern
The following are the responsibilities of the Communications & Videography Intern at Centene:
- Create engaging video content that supports the health plan’s key initiatives
- Edit videos to align with brand standards and communication objectives
- Organize and maintain a centralized repository of provider and member documents
- Ensure timely updates to all communication materials in the digital library
- Conduct quality checks on health plan communication materials for accuracy
- Assist in writing, formatting, and editing member-facing and provider-facing documents
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather content for digital and video communications
- Research industry trends related to communication styles, media formats, and accessibility
- Work closely with marketing and compliance teams to ensure content meets regulations
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and provide support where needed
- Manage time effectively to meet content deadlines and internship goals
- Attend training sessions aimed at building communication and professional skills
- Complete assigned tasks that support the broader goals of the communication department
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required throughout the internship period
- Operate efficiently in a fully remote work environment with minimal supervision
Requirements for the Communications & Videography Intern

Basic Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college
- Preferred fields of study include communications, media production, journalism, marketing, or a related area
- The candidate must maintain enrollment throughout the internship period
Experience
- Previous internship or coursework involving video production, editing, or communication is beneficial
- Exposure to the healthcare, public health, or managed care industry is a plus
- Experience working remotely in an academic or professional setting is helpful, but not mandatory
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to create, edit, and organize video content using editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)

- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment
- Capable of handling multiple assignments with a strong sense of accountability
