Job Description

The Boat Mechanic and Licensed Captain at Penske Media Real Estate (PMRe) will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and operating a variety of watercraft, including ferry boats, water ski boats, jet skis, and barges. This role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine inspections, and keeping detailed records of maintenance and repairs. Additionally, the candidate will serve as a licensed captain, operating vessels and transporting passengers and cargo while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Responsibilities of a Boat Mechanic and a Licensed Captain

  • Watercraft Maintenance: Perform comprehensive maintenance tasks on ferry boats, water ski boats, jet skis, and barges, ensuring all systems are functioning efficiently. This includes mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Diagnosing & Repairing: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot issues like engine malfunctions, electrical failures, and worn-out parts. Address problems proactively to prevent breakdowns.
