Cookd.dev is seeking talented and motivated AI Engineer to join a team of innovators and help drive the future of artificial intelligence.
In this role, you will be responsible for adapting, optimizing, and deploying pre-trained AI models into scalable, efficient, and user-focused applications. Your contributions will bridge the gap between AI research and real-world implementation, ensuring cutting-edge models are practical and performant across various platforms and products.
What is an AI Engineer?
An AI Engineer is a technical professional who designs, develops, and deploys artificial intelligence systems to solve complex problems and enhance applications with intelligent automation. He leverages machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) to build models that analyze data, recognize patterns, and make predictions. AI engineers fine-tune models for specific tasks, improve efficiency, and integrate them into products and systems, bridging the gap between research and application. He often handles large, complex models that generate open-ended outputs, such as text, images, and code, requiring expertise in model adaptation, inference optimization, and system integration.
Responsibilities
As an AI Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Model Development: Developing, optimizing, and deploying AI models using programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, and others.
- AI Techniques: Implementing advanced AI methodologies like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, fine-tuning, and agent-based architectures.
- Infrastructure: Building and maintaining AI infrastructure to ensure efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Cutting-edge AI Trends: Staying up-to-date with the latest AI trends, including model evaluation frameworks, prompt engineering, and retrieval techniques.
- API and Backend Services: Designing and implementing robust APIs and backend services to support AI-driven functionalities.
- Application Performance: Optimizing AI applications for performance and reliability to ensure seamless user experiences.
- Collaboration: Working with cross-functional teams to enhance AI integration across various platforms and systems.
- Project Leadership: Leading AI-related projects autonomously from concept to production, contributing to the company’s roadmap.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
Experience:
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered applications (either professionally or through personal projects).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or similar for backend development.
- Expertise with AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of AI evaluation methodologies and experience implementing benchmarking frameworks.
- Experience deploying and maintaining AI models in production environments.
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code with a strong focus on problem-solving.
- A product-driven mindset to ensure AI-powered features are intuitive and valuable to users.
- Frontend experience with React and Next.js is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
