Job Description
The Security Data Protection Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing security controls to protect Colgate-Palmolive’s enterprise data. Working closely with multi-functional teams, you’ll create and execute data protection strategies to mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with company standards. You’ll collaborate with business units and IT teams globally to support Colgate’s data protection needs in an innovative and supportive environment.
Responsibilities of the Security Data Protection Analyst
- Design and Implement Security Controls: Develop robust security measures to protect Colgate-Palmolive’s enterprise data and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Collaborate on Data Protection Roadmap: Work with cross-functional teams to build and maintain a comprehensive data protection strategy tailored to business objectives.
- Document Data Protection Procedures: Create and maintain policies, procedures, training materials, and metrics that support the data protection program.
- Enhance Data Monitoring: Improve data visibility by implementing monitoring tools that safeguard data from unauthorized access or malicious activities.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Perform Business Process Reviews to identify potential data exposure risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Stay Current with Security Technologies: Keep up-to-date with evolving security technologies, best practices, and emerging threats to enhance Colgate’s data protection capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification preferred.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in the IT industry.
- 3+ years of experience with DLP, CASB, or DSPM technology platforms.
- Strong experience in data protection, security controls, and risk assessments.
Skills:
- Expertise in Data Protection Security Controls: Strong ability to implement and manage data loss prevention (DLP), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platforms.
- Risk Assessment and Compliance: Proficient in conducting security risk assessments and ensuring compliance with data protection standards and regulations.
- Strong Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to analyze complex situations, troubleshoot issues, and provide innovative solutions independently.
- Technical Knowledge in Cybersecurity: Solid IT background with a deep understanding of cybersecurity policies, frameworks, and best practices related to data protection.
- Adaptability with New Technologies: Ability to quickly learn and incorporate emerging technologies and tools into existing security frameworks.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business units.
