The Cybersecurity Support Analyst plays a key role within UT Austin’s Information Security Office. This position focuses on managing and triaging the office’s ticket queue, supporting Tier-1 and Tier-2 issues. The analyst acts as the first point of contact for incoming requests and incidents from both UT Austin and the UT System.

Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Support Analyst

- Triage and manage Tier-1 and Tier-2 support issues from UT Austin and UT System users.
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate team members with detailed documentation.
- Maintain situational awareness across ISO services and support areas to ensure efficient handling of inquiries.
- Monitor the support queue to detect patterns, recurring problems, and emerging risks.
- Contribute to internal documentation, such as triage protocols and queue procedures.
- Support the development of end-user guidance and public-facing resources.
- Collaborate with team members to assess risks and determine proper communication paths.
- Engage in continuous learning through training, certification, and development opportunities.
- Participate in additional related functions or assigned projects to support the security program.
Requirements for the Cybersecurity Support Analyst

Basic Qualifications
